Community Counseling Center The Drop-In Social Skills Center is part of CCC's psychosocial rehabilitation program (PSR). PSR is a holistic approach to wellness for individuals with psychiatric illness that goes beyond medication and symptom management. You can read more about PSR here.

Drop-In Social Skills Center

What is it?

…a Drop-in Social Skills Center that is run by consumers, for consumers. It provides safe, accepting and unstructured, non-clinical opportunities for people living with mental illness to come, practice their social skills, and relax with others.

...a place to play cards, use the Play Station, listen to music, play pool, watch movies and play games.

...Saturdays, consumers are invited to attend field trips. Prior activities have included trips to the zoo, the Arch, Science Center, History Museum, movie theaters, shopping malls or staying at the drop-in center for a pizza party.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 2:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Saturday as scheduled
Sunday closed

Who would benefit?

  • Anyone with a mental illness is welcome. (You do not have to be receiving services from Community Counseling Center to attend the Drop-In Center).
